About ECCC 2011

The 7th European Conference on Continuous Casting (ECCC 2011) continues the tradition of the successful series of events which were organised in Florence (1990), Düsseldorf (1994), Madrid (1998), Birmingham (2002), Nice (2005) and Riccione (2008). Now Düsseldorf will again be the location of this outstanding event.

Scope and Topics

The Conference will bring together steel producers, plant designers and researchers sharing continuous casting expertise in the areas of:

• Casting metallurgy
• Plant construction
• Plant operation
• Product quality
• Maintenance
• Mould lubrication and refractories
• Caster instrumentation and automation
• Fluid flow and EMS actuators
• Special applications

The Conference will provide a forum for best practices and state-of-the-art technology. It will also take a look at developments in the foreseeable future.
